Ring-11 High-Temperature Fork Level Switch

The Ring-11 high-temperature fork level switch is designed for reliable liquid level detection in elevated-temperature process applications. With a compact fork body, stable tuning fork detection, and strong resistance to foam, bubbles, viscosity, and vibration, it is a practical solution for pipelines, tanks, and vessels that operate under high thermal load.

Ring-11 high-temperature level switch is designed for point level detection in processes that involve hot liquids and demanding thermal conditions. It is based on the proven Ring-11 tuning fork design, but it adds a high-temperature-resistant structure that helps the switch perform reliably at elevated process temperatures. In standard configuration, it can handle process temperatures up to 280ยฐC. Jiwei also offers an ultra-high-temperature version for applications that require even higher thermal resistance.

The switch uses an extension tube between the process connection and the instrument head. This increases the heat transfer distance and helps lower the temperature at the electronics housing. In addition, the device uses high-temperature-resistant piezoelectric ceramic components and wiring. These features help maintain long-term stability in hot process environments.

Tuning Fork Detection with Stable Signal Output

The switch works on the tuning fork resonance principle. Piezoelectric devices drive the fork into vibration and detect changes in its resonant frequency. When liquid touches the fork, the vibration frequency drops. The electronics detect this change and convert it into a switching signal. This method provides stable point level detection across a wide range of liquid applications.

The fork body is only 40 mm long, so the device fits pipelines, narrow vessels, and other restricted installation points. It can detect liquids with densities as low as 0.5 g/cmยณ. It also performs reliably in foam, bubbles, viscosity, vibration, and changing liquid conditions. Therefore, it is a strong choice for hot liquid applications where switching stability is important.

High-Temperature Level Switch for Industrial Use

The device offers multiple output options, including relay, two-wire, NAMUR, and transistor. This makes system integration easier in different industrial control environments. It also carries SIL2 / SIL3, 3C, CE, and EAC certifications, together with intrinsically safe and explosion-proof approvals. For corrosive hot liquids, the wetted parts can also be supplied with suitable protective coatings such as ECTFE or PFA. This helps expand the range of chemical and process applications where the switch can operate safely and reliably.
