JWrada®-21 Radar Sensor

The JWrada®-21 radar sensor is an 80GHz FMCW radar sensor developed for hydrology, water management, municipal drainage, and basic industrial level measurement applications. Compared with short-range models, the JWrada®-21 provides a maximum measuring range of 30 m, making it more suitable for medium-range water level monitoring applications such as rivers, open channels, reservoirs, sluice gates, pumping stations, wastewater treatment tanks, and open water bodies.

 

Using a non-contact radar measurement method, the radar sensor features a narrow beam angle, high accuracy, strong interference resistance, and easy installation and maintenance. It effectively minimizes the influence of temperature, humidity, vapor, wind speed, and environmental noise on measurement performance. The sensor supports HART/Modbus communication protocols and integrates a Bluetooth 5.0 module. Through the “JW Tools” APP, users can perform wireless commissioning, parameter configuration, and operating status monitoring on site. With cloud connectivity, it also supports remote commissioning, remote monitoring, and remote upgrades.

JWrada®-21 Radar Sensor is designed for short-range level measurement in applications that need compact size, stable performance, and easy operation. It works well in water-related systems, general liquid monitoring, and selected bulk solid applications. Because it uses non-contact radar measurement, it helps reduce wear and maintenance during long-term use.

This model uses 80 GHz FMCW radar technology and supports a measuring range of up to 30 meters. It is suitable for general liquid level measurement and short-range bulk solid monitoring under simple process conditions. Smart Communication and Stable Signal Performance

The device supports HART and Modbus communication and includes built-in Bluetooth 5.0. Users can complete wireless setup and monitoring through the Jiwei Smart Control mini-program. It also supports remote commissioning, cloud-based monitoring, and software upgrades. Therefore, it helps improve maintenance efficiency and simplify routine operation.

In addition, the JWrada®-21 Radar Sensor uses an intelligent echo-learning algorithm to improve signal quality. It can suppress false echoes, separate multiple echoes, and track the true target signal in changing process conditions. As a result, the instrument maintains stable and accurate performance over time.

Compact Design for Field Installation

The device has a compact structure and a lightweight UV-resistant housing. This design makes it suitable for field use and installations with limited space. It is also a practical alternative to ultrasonic instruments in applications where users want more stable performance and easier long-term maintenance.
