JWrada®-23 Radar Sensor is designed for continuous level measurement in applications that require strong corrosion resistance, high accuracy, and reliable long-term operation. It works especially well in wastewater systems, corrosive liquid tanks, humid outdoor environments, and selected short-range bulk solid applications. Because it uses non-contact radar measurement, it helps reduce equipment wear, contamination, and routine maintenance.
This model uses 80 GHz FMCW radar technology and supports a measuring range of up to 30 meters. With measurement accuracy of up to ±1 mm and a narrow 6° beam angle, it provides precise and focused level measurement in tanks, channels, open-water systems, and utility installations. Its 316L stainless steel housing and PTFE antenna lens offer excellent resistance to corrosion, moisture, and harsh operating conditions.
As a result, the JWrada®-23 is a practical solution for wastewater, corrosive liquids, hydrology projects, and outdoor monitoring sites where durable and accurate radar measurement is required.
Smart Communication and Stable Signal Performance
The device supports HART and Modbus communication. It is available with a two-wire 4–20 mA/HART output or a four-wire RS485/Modbus output, allowing easy integration into industrial and utility control systems.
The JWrada®-23 also includes built-in Bluetooth 5.0. Through the JW Tools APP, users can perform wireless commissioning, parameter configuration, and on-site monitoring. With cloud connectivity, the device also supports remote commissioning, remote monitoring, and software upgrades. Therefore, it helps improve maintenance efficiency and simplify routine operation.
In addition, the JWrada®-23 Radar Sensor uses Jiwei’s independently developed intelligent echo-learning and adaptive algorithms. These algorithms can recognize false echoes, separate multiple echoes, and dynamically track the true target signal. The sensor automatically adapts to changing process conditions, helping it maintain continuous, accurate, and stable measurement over time.
Corrosion-Resistant Design for Harsh Environments
The device features a robust 316L stainless steel housing with excellent corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and mechanical strength. Its IP66/IP68 protection rating makes it suitable for outdoor installations, wastewater facilities, humid environments, and applications involving corrosive liquids.
The sensor supports direct G1 1/2 threaded installation. It can also be installed through a bracket opening using the supplied fastening nut. This flexible installation design makes it suitable for tanks, channels, field monitoring stations, and utility systems.
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C and a process pressure range of -1 to 3 bar, the JWrada®-23 can operate reliably under a wide range of environmental and process conditions. Therefore, it is an ideal replacement for traditional ultrasonic level meters in applications where corrosion resistance, outdoor durability, and long-term measurement stability are important.
