In the global energy storage and petrochemical industries, liquid level measurement is widely regarded as a critical foundation for ensuring operational safety. This is particularly true for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks, where level measurement devices not only determine the accuracy of inventory management but also directly affect the safety and stability of plant operations.
For many years, the high-end segment of this market has been dominated by international brands. Among them, VEGA radar level transmitters from Germany have gained strong recognition worldwide for LPG tank level measurement applications.
However, with the continuous advancement of China’s industrial automation technology, several Chinese manufacturers are beginning to emerge in high-end industrial measurement applications. Recently, in a large LPG storage tank project located in Rayong, Thailand, the JWrada radar level transmitter developed by Shenzhen Jiwei Automations Ltd was successfully deployed for LPG tank level monitoring.
In this project, the JWrada radar level transmitter was installed and operated under similar working conditions alongside VEGA radar level transmitters, demonstrating stable performance and competitive cost efficiency. As a result, it has drawn attention from industry users as a potential VEGA radar level transmitter replacement solution.
